Working in the UK

Firstly it is important that you have all your paperwork in order before arriving in the UK .  If you obtained your qualification outside of the UK , it is important to know if your degree and qualifications will be accepted in the UK and thus if you are eligible to work, in any capacity in the veterinary field in the UK .

If coming from a non-european economic area, check your UK entry and work requirements and make sure that you are eligible to work in the UK.

Please see the relevant sections on:
  •  Registering
This covers the basics on registering as a vet or vet nurse in the UK.
  • Work permits/Visas:
This will give you basic advice on the current permits/visas available and their requirements.

Please note:
The sections above are  meant to provide a general overview and  basic advice only, based on the current regulations obtained via the various authorities. It is strongly recommeneded that you contact the appropriate authoritys before making any  travel/work arrangements. Locumsupport is not liable for any change in information, or the information supplied by the relevant authorities.
